Nee Yaw Nee Yaw - that's the sound of the fire engine dashing off with all those brave firefighters on board!
If that sounds exciting, you can feel you are part of it too at FDNY Fire Zone!
FDNY Fire Zone is a state of the art fire safety learning center in New York City, where kids can have a fun hands-on experience, whilst learning at the same time!
At the Fire Zone the family can learn about the power of fire, or climb on a real fire truck! They can try on bunker gear, or even meet a real firefighter! Don't forget to ask lots of questions!
Kids can feel a "hot" door, and even learn to crawl through a smoke-filled hallway, even in the dark. Invaluable experiences for them in life!
FDNY can teach them to identify hazards in your home, and help their parents make an escape plan. At the Fire Zone you will have a first-hand experience in respecting fire and learn what to do in an emergency!
There is also a multimedia presentation, suitable for kids over 5 years, where they can experience innovative fire simulations to help their learning progress.
Feel the heat in NYC on your next family day out, and you never know - kids might be inspired just as much as they learn those invaluable lessons!
