Incredibly beautiful park. I always go there to escape Montreal Down-Town busy and constantly buzzing life. I've been jogging there for the last 15 years and I never got bored of Mount Royal Park. The artificial lake and between forest walk-way paths are a must see including on the very top the spectacular view of down town Montreal is unmatched

Amazing HUGE park in the heart of Montreal. You need to reserve a couple of hours (2 to rush, 3 to see everything) in your day to fully enjoy the park. Locals use it to jog, bicycle, frisbee or picnic or whatever on a summer day. It has a little bit of everything. There is a Japanese Garden, a giant pond with water lilies and frogs, a dinosaur park (man made statutes not the kind you find in the Fields Museum in Chicago or Smithsonian).
You can get here by metro and or by car. It is free and one of the top 10 things to do in Montreal.

Nice walk up stairs and hills. Once you catch your breathe the views on top are wonderful of downtown Montreal. You have to visit this one time. This is a place you cant miss in montreal.

You live in a city but need the tranquility of the outdoors. This fills the bill. Given its central location and near McGill University, you will find crowds on the weekends.
