The African American Museum allows you to delve into a diverse, creative and fascinating exploration of visual art forms and historical documents that relate to the African American community.
From Folk Art (one of the largest African American collections in the US), to century old masterpieces, the African American Museum is an insight into a rich heritage that might just inspire!
Kids can explore various works of African art, as well as black renaissance paintings within the exhibitions. There are examples of decorative arts, as well as period rooms and of course contemporary art.
The African American Museum is the only one of its kind in the Southwestern Region that is devoted to the preservation and display of African American artistic, historical and cultural materials.
