Where are we going today?

Little Beaver State Park is 562-acres of nature that loves to be visited by families just like yours!

The state park is a day-use park which features a host of outdoor recreational activities for the whole family, whether . At the center of the park is an 18-acre lake open for fishing year-round which is always a fun way to spend time together!. The lake has may types of game fish including bass, crappie, channel cat, bluegill and trout. Kids - how many types of fish can you spot in the water?

Paddle and rowboat rentals are available seasonally so if you actually want to get out on the lake and enjoy the park from a whole new point of view, this is for you!

Little Beaver State Park also offers five reservable picnic shelters, playgrounds for the kids, and even geocaching - which if you haven't tried it already, it's worth testing those skills!

The park even has an activities building with game room, so no excuses if it's looking like it might rain! 

For those active kids in the family, grab those hiking boots because there are nearly 20 miles of trails are open for both hiking and biking, but bikers should use caution while riding in high-use areas.

A great day out in mother nature, where those computers can be turned off and kids can get out there in the fresh air and just enjoy being kids!

Little Beaver State Park’s campground has 16 sites with water hookups and 30 with electric and water. The campground features a large bathhouse with laundry facilities, a central dump station, wireless Internet access at the camp store, picnic tables and grills. Firewood and ice are available for purchase upon your arrival. West Virginia State Park campground reservations are available from Memorial Day through Labor Day each year. Campgrounds are open on a first-come, first-serve basis after Labor Day.

Little Beaver State Park is perfect for a picnic! Grab one of the many spots in the shade, or by the lake, or head out with a group! There are five picnic shelters and other picnic areas with tables and grills that can accommodate family reunions, birthdays and other gatherings. Playgrounds are available for the little ones as well.

Healthy Eating

Make sure you take plenty of bottled water along with you!
