Looking for a magical place that is JUST for kids? Head to Children's Fairyland!
This 10-acre outdoor park in Oakland's Lakeside Park at Lake Merritt that features beautiful displays, rides, and entertainment inspired by children's literature. For 50 years Bay Area families have turned here for wholesome family fun, and now it's your turn!
This magical fantasy world is where those young kids can imagine, play, create, and learn all day long. In fact, there are nearly 60 storybook sets kids can enjoy, from Jack & Jill and that infamous hills, Old West Junction with old time fantasy play, and twists and turns in the Alice In Wonderland tunnel!
Children's Fairyland also has fun kid-size rides for them to enjoy. Make sure you check out the oldest ride dating back to 1954 - the Jolly Trolly!
Kids can ride on the historic carousel with fun Alice In Wonderland characters, and a mini Ferris wheel that resembles a spiders web!
Did we mention there are even adorable barnyard animals, from lambs, goats and a ponies! Over 15 domestic animals are waiting to say hi!
With no thrill rides in sight, and even gardens for kids to explore, Children's Fairyland really is the perfect destination for the family.
