Art galleries are often great for kids to look around, because they will introduce them to the wonderful world of art, and of creativity, and teach them all about expressing themselves.
Chihuly Garden and Glass is all about the work of Dale Chuhuly, a Washington native who studied glass during his time at university.
Since then, his work has been included in over 200 museums across the WORLD! That's pretty special! Now, at this Seattle museum, the family can look at the inspirations and influences that made his work what it is today!
The sculptures are bright and colorful, and some work is unusual, and with those lush landscapes, make for a fascinating experience for kids. Those under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult, but each will take away something from the experience.
Younger kids will love the colors and the shapes, and older kids will be able to start talking about why they like or dislike the pieces, and what it is about them that engages them.
Kids - when you walk through the galleries, look all around you. Here's a hint - sometimes when you walk - look up!
One of the most popular experiences in the entire city for visitors, the Chihuly Garden and Glass will introduce the family to some spectacular artworks - some you won't even believe how they were created!
