Wordsworth House and Garden is a National Trust site where you'll get to explore William Wordsworth's childhood home! The home is presented as it would have been when he lived with his family and there's a beautiful riverside garden too! 

Step back in time and explore the immaculately presented townhouse. It's furnished as it would have been in the 1770s and you can take a guided tour or an audio tour as you explore the working kitchen and other rooms at your own pace. 

The friendly staff are on hand to answer questions you have too. You'll see real food on the dining table, a fire burning and you can taste some food too! You can even play the piano too if you wanted to give that a go!

Discover the children's bedrooms which is full of toys and dressing up clothes. There's even a daily children's trail where the ghosts are waiting to tell the stories. The rooms have a changing programme of exhibitions and in the permanent exhibition you'll find out all about Qilliam's Lakeland legacy. 

Activities generally run from Saturday to Wednesday in the school holidays and there's lots on all year round! Make sure to check the website before you visit so you know what's happening before you arrive.
