Reaseheath Zoo

About this activity

Reaseheath Zoo is set in the scenic rural grounds of Reaseheath College and you'll get to see many species of animals from around the world! The zoo is used by the students at the college during term time, so the zoo is only open to public during school holidays and weekends. 

During your visit you'll get to find out about the animals and make sure to catch a keeper talk too! You can also opt for something extra special with an animal encounter. 

The animal encounters are a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the animals and go behind the scenes. You'll get to spend time with an animal of your choice including feeding, grooming and you'll get a talk from an experience zoo keeper. The encounters last for around thirty minutes and are on a one-to-one basis. 

Why not be a keeper for the day too and get really stuck in! You'll work alongside the staff in all of the animal sections and get to see what it's like to work with the animals.
