About this activity

Lanhydrock is a Magnificent late Victorian country house with a garden and wooded estate that is nestled nicely in the countryside of Cornwall. This beautiful house sits on its extensive grounds equaling nearly 900 acres just above the river Fowey. This impressive manor has been owned and managed by the national trust for over seventy years since they took control of it in 1953. If you're a history connoisseur then you're in luck, much of the present home comes with its original architecture and can be dated back to Victorian times however, some parts of the home can be dated all the way back to the 1620s

The estate is rich in national history however still can serve as an attractive venue for those who are as interested in history. With substantial lands and bike paths winding through the grounds of the estate Lanhydrock is the perfect place to bring the family, whether it be for a brisk autumnal walk through the amber grounds or a summer stroll basking in the sun you can be sure that there is no place quite like it. With convenient car parking and access, why not bring your dog so the whole family can have a day out together?

Walking through the vast grounds can get tiring so why not drop in at the cafe for some tea and coffee or even something to eat? Lanhydrock even has its own bookshop and plant shop so you can grab something to remember your trip. Lanhydrock is stunning all year round so there is no excuse to put it off for much longer.
