Bodmin and Wenford Railway takes you through the Cornwall countryside and you'll start and finish your journey at Bodmin General. It's a great thing to do for the whole family, especially if you have a train enthusiast with you!
Bodmin General Station is the railways focal point and is around a ten minute walk from the town centre. You'll find a coffee shop, gift shop and other facilities at the station. The steam engines are stored in the running shed too near the main line and the station has been restored to reflect the 1950s time and colour schemes.
The next station is Coleslogget Halt which is a peaceful station and opened in 1993. You'll find picnic areas here and walking opportunities for you to explore the area.
At Bodmin Parkway Station you'll find a coffee shop which was once an old signalbox and the station was built in 1859! Boscarne Junction station has a footpath and cycleway along the former railway trackbed and was once a bustling place in 1888!
The railway hosts lots of events throughout the year such as their popular Santa Specials, special Victorian events and Galas all year round, so make sure to check out the website before you visit so you know what's happening!
