About this activity

The Monkey Sanctuary has been offering a safe home for life to monkeys in need since 1964 and is home to 40 individuals, and each has their own distinct characters! On your visit you'll find out more about the animals they care for.

The sanctuary cares for a range of different species of rescued monkeys and you'll get an insight into the work they do and the residents. The whole family can take a tour of the enclosures and learn about the animals from the experts. Kids can enjoy the wild play area too and let off some steam in the playground and you can take a stroll through the wildlife gardens.

The playground is a great place for letting of steam with plenty of obstacles to navigate, climb through and slide down! The gardens are interactive and you'll play games and try to guess which footprints belong to which animal and you join in on the world trail and claim your winners stickers!

The sanctuary is a great place to visit if you love monkeys, and there's lots of different species! As it's an active rescue centre, some areas may not be accessible so the monkeys can have some quiet time and recover.
