Greens Windmill and Science Centre in Nottinghamshire is the perfect fun and educational day out with family or friends! See inside the amazing inner workings of the windmill over four floors, including the grain cleaner and grindstones! Learn about how their miller uses the windmill to turn grain into their award winning organic flour. If you're lucky and the wind is blowing, you will see see the beautiful windmill sails turning. As if this wasn't cool enough, test your brain power with the hands-on experiments in the Science Centre! All of these explore electricity, magnetism and light, perfect for young children! Learn the science behind the working windmill which produces great flour.
The interactive Science Centre also lets children discover the remarkable story of George Green, a mathematical genius. His work led to the invention of MRI scanning machines and has helped scientists up to modern day; try out your skills and knowledge on their fun science activities!
Once you've burnt off lots of energy doing all of this, browse their pretty community garden! It features a Victorian style greenhouse, wildlife pond, vegetable beds and summer house with outdoor pizza oven! The garden is an extension to the heritage of the mill, providing an educational resource and a place for relaxation and tranquility. So what are you waiting for? Green's Windmill is in Sneinton, about 1¼ miles east of Nottingham City Centre. It's a fifteen minute walk from the city centre and the railway station.

All of the centre and the ground floor of the windmill are accessible to visitors in wheelchairs, as are the toilets. Visitors with restricted mobility can avoid the short flight of steps from the car park to the windmill by calling in advance to arrange parking in the mill yard.
Free parking is available in the car park on Windmill Lane. Disabled parking is available in the mill yard, accessed via Belvoir Hill (please call in advance to pre-arrange).
