About The Huble Homestead Historic site

The Huble Homestead is a living historic site that offers tours of heritage buildings such as the Huble House, Salmon Valley Post Office, and the Animal Shelter. Visit replicas of the original General Store, Trappers Cabin, Barns, Blacksmith Shop and the First Nations Fish Camp; all aspects of the site represent a time in our history that the Huble Homestead/Giscome Portage Heritage Society has proudly preserved on behalf of our community, our heritage, and our history.

Head out on a guided or self-guided tour of the site and when the weather is nice you can play some lawn games outside. Games include badminto, croquet, horeshoes and more or you're more than welcome to bring your own! There are different activities available every weekends including family-friendly treasure hunts too which will make exploring the area even more exciting! All activities are included in your admission!

Enjoy a picnic outside or head to the General Store to pick up a tasty snack like a hamburger, pancakes and a variety of homebaked treats. The weather can change quickly, so make sure you bring a jacket, sunscreen and some comfortable shoes so you can explore the area easily. There's also umbrellas at the general store that you can borrow on your visit too!
