What is there to do?

Old Gippstown is an 1850s experience which spans scenic parkland and several historical buildings including general store, dress making shop and blacksmith's forge, all authentically stocked.

A period doctors' surgery and jail are also available for touring, plus the Tynong Theatre at which one may view black and white shorts or newsreels on request.

The site also features The Coach House, one of Victoria's premier collections of vintage horse drawn vehicles, and a variety of agricultural and industrial machinery is displayed.

Old Gippstown is open 7 days a week 7am to 5pm.


Any top tips?

Apparently there's a 'ghost' in the jail, presumably a fabric one, you may wish to be aware of this with very small children.
