EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH - WHEEL OF FORTUNE and GREAT AMERICA.
Sitting at home on a thursday evening at 7.40PM (OCT 16TH 2014) UVERSE TV.
Watching Wheel of Fortune with my 2 YOUNG BOYS playing in the area.
To my GREAT Disgust, I saw the an awful HORROR ADVERTISEMENT for California "GREAT AMERICA"
The HORRIFYING IMAGES that my 1 and 4 year old boys were subjected to were awfully frightening.
I am extremely disappointed with both the WHEEL OF FORTUNE for lowering it's corporate standards to such an inappropriate source of revenue....Read More

Met my expectations. We went with some friends because we had some discounted tickets at $10 which made it a great deal, otherwise, I'd say it's a little overpriced for what they offered. The attractions were (to the bare eye) well maintained and the staff super courteous. The food offer is very limited, and just "junk food", of course overpriced since you have no alternative (one bottled water $5). Other than that, the roller coasters were fantastic and we all had a great time. Some light rain was forecasted so the park was pretty empty to our...Read More

Took my family last night to the Halloween Haunt, we have never been so disappointed in a theme park ever! The lack of security was appalling. We saw 2 security guards the 4.5 hours we were there. The people running around smoking marijuana, cutting in line and throwing the tables from the closed food stands made us feel totally unsafe. This was the first time my daughter and I have ever been to Great America & it has been at least 13 years since my husband has been we will never go back and have made sure that everyone we know has heard this warning....Read More

My 12-year old son was involved in the 3-point shoot-out competition for the prize of an Ipad Air. At the last minute, the rules were changed on us and another competitor was added to the contest giving my son less percentage of chance to win. When we complained about official gaming rules and why the staff gave us different information, the gaming manager only said she was sorry we were given wrong information and that her staff should know because they've run this contest multiple times already. There was no attempt to resolve the issue and...Read More

I don't get all the negative reviews. People complaining about food and stuff being expensive, well of course it's expensive it's an amusement park. The park has a good selection of rides and a few of the coasters are great, except for Vortex that coaster needs to be removed and replaced. They have a decent kids area if your bringing your little ones. There is something at Great America for everyone.

My only gripe about the park is some of the people that go. Rude kids that try to cut in line and vandalize the park. People being indignant to the...Read More

The lines were long we were only able to ride 2 rides and never got to see a maze. The scare zones were small and the actors that were supposed to be doing the scares weren't paying attention half the time and were just standing there the other half the time chasing girls in short skirts.I guess we could havr just paid the extra $150 for the fast passes but I didn't think that was fair either.

There was no attempt to resolve the issue and honor the information we were given. There was no additional customer service provided in order to address the complaint. Basically, we were just screwed and Great America feels we just have to deal with it.

My only gripe about the park is some of the people that go. Rude kids that try to cut in line and vandalize the park. People being indignant to the staff because their kid isn't tall enough for the ride. And people not following park rules. But this isn't really a problem of the park, it's more of the fact that the world is full of dumb people.
