Where are we going today?
Mount Lofty Summit, just 20 minutes from Adelaide, rises more than 710 metres above sea level providing spectacular panoramic views across the city skyline to the coast. Each year more than 350,000 people visit the highest peak of the Mount Lofty Ranges in the Adelaide Hills. The complex features an accredited visitor information centre with interactive touch screens for fun learning.
This spectacular hills garden on the eastern slopes of Mount Lofty features cool climate plants and is less than half an hour from the city centre. The collections in the garden come from various geographic regions such as South America, China, East Africa, New Zealand, South East Asia and North America.
Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is also home to the ATCO Heritage Rose Collection and has on display a scattering of artistic sculptures by esteemed artists such as Greg Johns, which are great fun for kids to run and find. Experience 100 hectares of native bushland, transformed into a cool temperate garden of breathtaking displays which change with the seasons.

Some paths are steep and narrow so good walking shoes all round are essential..

Free guided walks depart from the lower car park at the end of Lampert Rd. 10.30am every Thursday in Spring (Sept, Oct, Nov). 10.30am every Thursday in Autumn (March, April, May)..
