Cheap sums up this resort pretty well – While it appears they have remodeled some of the rooms and trying to improve the place. We noticed cockroaches running across the floor and my son had bed bugs in the bed he slept in. The floors are extremely dirty and they will come and replace towels for $33 or vacuum for $75. I can see why now it is so dirty on the floors and pests running around. Dust collected everywhere on light fixtures. We had a fan in our room in which you could not turn off with a switch and had to pull the chain to turn the fan off and on and the same went for the light. The light switch in the ‘master bedroom’ didn’t do anything. The waterslides, pool and lazy river were enjoyed by my kids and they had a great time playing in the water. So overall that part was enjoyable – However, it doesn’t do much to remodel only parts of the room to make them look better when everything else is still so grungy looking.

This place was amazing for families, they provided for all your needs. Villa was clean & well enough stocked with dishes & utensils, enough for a family of six. Small apt. size washer & dryer provided us to use daily–so don’t over pack-you’ll have more room for all the souvenir’s. Loved the pool & hot tubs. Needs to have a couple of gas grills close to pool area.

Cheap and cheerful pretty much sums up this complex. First the good. The pool is simply excellent, the staff is pleasant, and the happy hour prices at the pool bar are superb. There is close proximity to many restaurants, grocery shopping and outlet malls, and of course Disney World. Then the bad. The units are definitely not three star, I only gave three stars because of the points mentioned above.Sure, I get that it’s Florida and the climate means that there will be bugs, but we had 50-70 sugar ants in the beds upon arrival. We hadn’t unpacked any food, and no one had gone into the rooms. We also had three roaches during the first two days that varied in size between one in and three inches,… I’ve got good pictures of the big one! Anyway, if you keep your food in the fridge, throw out your garbage daily, and do the recycling in the evenings, the bugs seem to figure out that there are easier pickings elsewhere and move on. Please note that I’ve been to Mexico several times and the bugs don’t bother me, however I know for some people they certainly may.The shower had a slow leak onto the living room couch through the AC grate in the ceiling, our AC unit completely stopped one night and had to be repaired, and the handle for the sliding door came unscrewed because the door was so tough to open. Other than the repair on the AC unit, the other issues were reported and not fixed during our 10 day stay. Our unit hadn’t been renovated, you can tell the ones that had as they had new vinyl windows. However looking into the renovated units it appears that the furniture was all the same (circa 2005) and that not much had changed. Hopefully new paint and carpet had been part of the renovations as they were dated and dirty in the old units.Would I stay here again? Nope, but not for any specific reason, just that there was nothing compelling to bring me back. This is just my opinion,….your milage may vary.

Nice central location. Walmart is very nearby for supplies. Fun water park for the kids. Definitely NOT new villas, but since we were not staying at a Marriott, I wasn’t expecting a 5 star place/furnishings (or the cleanliness of my home). There will ALWAYS be bugs no matter where you stay in the south… EVEN at the Marriott. That being said, this was NOT a “roach motel”. (I am sure they were there, but we didn’t see any inside our villa.). We checked into a villa w/ an ant problem, notified the apologetic staff, and were immediately moved. We had a great time. Kids absolutely loved the surfing! Kids are wondering when we are going back!!!

Well damn, haven’t even gotten there yet and already I am terrified I made a huge mistake. This will be our 7th trip to Florida, and 1st time staying outside Disney. I called because we will be checking in after 1am, and was told on confirmation email that I would have to call and inform them. So Kaitlyn answers, and in the snottiest, least sincere and interested voice, that I imagine one can muster on a Monday morning she answers. I tell her I am calling because I booked a trip with them and will be checking in after 1am. SILENCE. Umm, I was expecting a “welcome, that’s great, how can I help you” ANYTHING. But I get awkward silence. So I proceed, “I was told I should call you because I assume desk will be closed.” “Yes, it will be. There’s a phone, just call security” is what she advises me in a haughty annoyed tone. Already I have a baaaaad feeling. God is it too late to cancel? I follow up with my next part though, and say I was told that I really should request a refurbished room as the old outdated ones can be really gross. So I told her I was hoping to request one, and she says “well you can request whatever you want, but really all I do is write down that you asked. I can’t give you that”Even if that is true. again… WTF!?!!! NO customer service skills? Just lie for crying out loud, lol, say in a sing song sweet voice that you will do your best, maybe actually do it, I don’t know… anything other than the general “F You” I got in her toneNo seriously, calling expedia now to see if I can change hotels. I am terrified for how bad this could end up being. Eeeek. I wish I had read these reviews before booking.
