Where are we going today?

Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing Centre offers a welcoming climbing experience for all over 5 years.

There is not only a bouldering section but a bouldering cave too, so beginners and those who want to stay a bit lower down are accommodated.

High ropes, lead climbs and other advanced work is also catered for. Over 13 to belay.

Monday 3pm to 10pm, Tuesday to Friday 12pm to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 8pm. School Holidays

    A nice gym to climb at.

    The CIRC North gym has a nice friendly crew with a rather small boulder wall section. There are a few long leads climbs with ceiling routes and various objects sticking out.

    The CIRC South gym has a larger boulder wall, and a cave boulder section. There are also some cool lead climbs; but never got around to trying them.

    Decent top rope and lead climbing at a small climbing gym tucked away in an industrial area. Really small bouldering area.

The CIRC South gym has a larger boulder wall, and a cave boulder section. There are also some cool lead climbs; but never got around to trying them.

At both North and South gyms; their climbs are graded using subjective descriptors ranging between easy, moderate, hard. It was also the first time I've come across a Wild Country Single Rope Controller belay device - it's kinda cool - but is only an assistive breaking device and not full-locking.
