Time consuming, great exhibits, fun for any age, plan to spend about 2-3 hours minimum if you tour the whole property. Should offer discounts to more than just military!! Firefighters and police officers serve and protect also.

I went this past weekend while my daughter and I were in Virginia Beach. I really wasn’t impressed, to say the least. It was extremely crowded, more crowded than I anticipated, and that made it difficult to enjoy the displays. I felt rushed because of the crowd kinda pushing you along, so that took away the enjoyment for both me and her. It definitely doesn’t compare to the Georgia Aquarium…I guess once you’ve seen one aquarium, you’ve seen them all. However, the outdoor “deck” area overlooking the water and the trail leading to the Marsh Pavilion were nice touches. For the money, I believe it would be a good value if it weren’t crowded and you were able to take the time to enjoy the displays.

Small and expensive. pales in comparison to Tennessee and Georgia aquariums and no real food. I was looking to spend a few hours here on vacation and it didn’t happen, just not enough to do or see.
