The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is recognized as THE best seaside park in the world! You will have to find out to see if you agree!
This vibrant, bustling amusement park is renowned for its great rides, remarkable history, as well as spectacular beach setting and let's not forget that friendly attitude!
The Boardwalk has actually been operating since all the way back in 1907, and it hasn’t missed a beat (we can only imagine how many family memories have been created!)
The Santa Cruz Boardwalk also believe in affordable family fun - that’s why admission is FREE, summer entertainment is included, and ride tickets are affordable!
Two of their rides are National Historic Landmarks, but don’t let that fool you. They are super safe! The 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster still thrills riders with its hair-raising dips and turns (are you brave enough to take it on?) and the Looff Carousel features a unique ring toss that offers a surprising challenge to all.
Then you have the indoor arcades which feature the largest selection of games in Northern California and you can challenge yourselves with the latest video and redemption games, alongside pinball machines, a vintage game collection, plus a two-story miniature golf course, and laser tag arena!
There's also a family bowling center right across the street! How much family fun can you pack into one day!? Challenge accepted.
Many people visit the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk just for the food! Best arrive on an empty stomach. Kids can taste a variety of delicious foods including corn dogs (made from a secret family recipe!), deep fried artichokes, chocolate covered bacon, and even deep fried Twinkies!
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk spans a wide sandy beach along Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary where if you keep those eyes peeled, you might just spot a host of marine life including otters, dolphins, sea lions, and even whales swimming just offshore!
A really fun day out for the family in Santa Cruz!
