Created by a keen automobile collector and racer, Briggs Cunningham, the museum now sits in a historic building where auto enthusiasts from all across the world can come and marvel, and learn, about his collection!
The San Diego Automotive Museum has a number of exhibits, that change occasionally, for you to enjoy. Want to hear about the types of exhibits you will be experiencing? Rev those engines...let's go!
The Barn Find is a great story about a 1928 Studebaker that was forgotten about in an old barn...and then found! All it needed was gas and it was driven away after 40 years of being hidden.
A pretty nice find!
Harley Davidson fans....there is something for you too! You can learn all about how William S. Harley, at the age of 21, drew up plans for a small engine. He and his friend Arthur Davidson worked on these bikes...and the rest is history!
There are Indian motorcycles, you can see Louis Mattar's Fabulous Car that had all the comforts of home - a fridge, ironing board, medicine cabinet...even the kitchen sink! What an imagination!
You can see DeLoreans, Ferraris, Cadillac, and Ford Model T....just to name a few!
Engines, motors, wheels, cars, bikes....a great collection at the San Diego Automotive Museum.
