Here families can enjoy the beautiful coastline, as well as a host of fun recreational activities for the all ages.
Summer activities include boating out on the beautiful lake, or perhaps you want to grab the kayaks and enjoy the view all around you.
Fishing is a popular activity around the beaches and lagoons, or if you would rather be IN the water, there are several beaches you can visit. Waterworks Beach is seasonally lifeguarded and has both a playground and toilet facilities.
Mountain biking, roller blading and bird watching are also popular here. There are also a great number of nature trails intersecting the area.
Winter activities include ice boating, ice and wind skating or cross country skiing, so it's not just summer fun!
Named a National Natural Landmark, Presque Isle State Park is also a favorite spot for migrating birds, and because of the many unique habitats, the park contains a high number of threatened and endangered species. A great learning experience for kids as they understand all about conservation!
Make sure your first stop is the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, the gateway to discover as well as the park.

Presque Isle State Park and the Tom Ridge Environmental Center can be reached by PA 832 north. The park can also be reached by boat. The road system within the park forms a loop approximately 13 miles in length.
