What is there to do?

Love bugs? Great - because so do we! And so do Nevada Bugs and Butterflies, which is perfect for giving kids that hands-on experience with these weird and wonderful creatures.

Kids can come face to face with Northern Nevada's native insects, and see how they move, and life - right in front of their eyes! It's a place where kids can get excited about the environment, and science!

The goal of Nevada Bugs and Butterflies is to make science accessible, and they aim to empower kids to really learn all about their world around them. They can learn how important insects are to their daily lives, and the whole circle of life across the globe!

Nevada Bugs and Butterflies feature a beautiful butterfly house, where you can actually walk through these colorful creatures, and an outdoor science center.

The Butterfly House features butterflies and caterpillars that are native to Nevada, as well as beautiful pollinator plants, vegetables and fruits. There are live insects to hold, and to watch, and great science activities with biologists so kids can really get inspired to learn!

There is an organic garden too, where you can just immerse yourselves in nature, art and science!

So kids, are you excited to have a day with not only the family, but the weird and wonderful insects that can be found all across the state?
