There is so much railroad history within the US, it's worth exploring some of the fascinating railroad museum's across the nation, one of those being the Hinton Railroad Museum!

This railroad museum features artifacts of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, giving kids an opportunity to learn about one of the most influential developments in the nation.

How many people do you think it took to operate the railroad and accommodate all the many passengers who wanted to use it when the boom first started? Well, the Hinton Railway Museum has a display with 98 figurines depicting every single railroad job that existed back in 1870!

The museum also has the John Henry Woodcarving exhibit featuring work from a local artist.

From history lovers to fans of the locomotive, Hinton Railroad Museum has something for all, where the railroad past comes back to life!

Adults: Free admission but donations welcome

Children: Same as adult
