Did you know that Grissom Air Museum is one of the nations fastest growing aviation museums? Well, you can check it all out on your next family day out!

Here it's ALL about aviation history, with plenty of hands-on learning for the kids! They can learn about the historic aircraft, and even climb the Observation Tower (what can you see from the top, kids?)

There are exciting exhibits to check out and plenty of modern, hands-on fun!

You can check out the history of the military base that started in 1954 as the Bunker Hill Air Force Base, before heading outside to see 24 real life military aircraft that served in various conflicts, from WWII right through to today!

Kids an see historic aircraft from the Cold War era, and learn what it's like to be called an "airman". Did we mention you can take off in a simulator too?

From the H1-Huey Helicopter, to the Bomb Loader, and the F-4 Phantom, it's always so fun for kids to see real live aircraft up close with their own eyes.

Any additonal information?

Tours include one or more of outstanding volunteer guides who will help bring the displays and aircraft alive with stories and information you can’t find anywhere else. All of the guides are former military who either served on our base, or have lived in the area long enough that they know those special stories that you need to hear. There's no extra charge for the use of these fine veterans, but you must schedule your tour at least two weeks in advance. To get more information or to book tour, you can email in
