About Endangered Wolf Center

What's amazing about the Endangered Wolf Center, is that this non-profit organization not only is dedicated to saving canid species from extinction, but they also aim to educate all who visit about the importance of these animals, their ecosystems, all with a view to support reintroduction into their native habitats!

Founded in 1971 bywildlife biologist and TV host of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom Marlin Perkins and Carol, his wife, the Endangered Wolf Center manages breeding, research and education, and today is one of the most important centers for endangered wolf recovery in the entire world.

A visit here is an incredibly invaluable experience for the whole family, where you can learn all about the endangered wolves, foxes and African painted dogs, and enjoy a host of events, take part in speciality tours & so much more!

The vision of the organization is a world where endangered wolves and other beautiful and amazing wild canids can exist and thrive in their native habitats, and be recognized and valued for their vital roles as leading animals of a healthy ecosystem.

They have some great events and tours throughout the year, so check ahead before you go so you can make sure you plan around what's on!

Does Endangered Wolf Center have a gift shop?

They do have a gift shop! And all purchases contribute to the running of the center. Stop by to pick up some clothing, gifts, toys, or even adopt an animal!

Teachers corner

They have animal ambassadors to help make local school visits more exciting, they offer outreach programs and they welcome school groups to the center!
