About this activity

If you want to take your kids to a place where they can experience hands-on learning ALL day, as well as expand their creativity, encourage experimentation and develop their problem solving skills, you might want to take them to The Magic House!

The St Louis Children's Museum isn't filled with card tricks and rabbits out of hats, but it IS filled with the childhood magic that kids experience when they are surrounded by joy, wonder, learning and beauty!

The exhibits and programs within The Magic House are suitable for kids of all abilities and interests. They allow kids the tools to build their own knowledge, so they can learn in their own way and pace.

Kids - have you ever touched an electrically charged ball, or created a 3D impression of yourself? You can at The Magic House! Kids can operate model trains, spin a giant kaleidoscope wheel, or even get creative with poetry and the Poet Tree!

The Children's Village is a great place for kids to interact with the "real world", where they can use tools to service a car, climb a tree-house, serve pizza or even stock grocery store shelves. A fun pretend community for those little ones!

There are exhibits which focus on math, and there are exhibits where those future Picasso's can really get inspired. There are exhibits where musical talents can be explored, and exhibits for those future engineers where they can construct objects with fun, foam blocks!

If you have little ones under 2 years, there is a special Baby & Me section where they can sing, play, and enjoy toddler-sized fun with others their own age. Parents are welcome too!

Don't forget to check out the outdoor play garden at The Magic House too - great fun on those summer days!

Are you excited to get learning? There's a little big of magic waiting for you in St. Louis!
