If you had to guess which of the parks were the most visited in the entire state park system, what would you guess? If you guessed Chief Logan State Park - you'd be RIGHT!
This amazing West Virginia park is 4,000 acres of family fun, where you can really explore the beauty and adventure that nature has to offer.
For those active kids in the family, there are miles of hiking trails that will challenge you, and trails that allow you to just stroll and search for wildlife. The difficulty level is up to you!
There is also an outdoor amphitheater, as well as a wildlife center if you want to learn all about what surrounds you. Great for kids! Those active kids will also love the swimming pool that of course comes with a super cool water slide, and there is even tennis and mini golf if you want something a bit more sporty!
Don't miss the playgrounds that are scattered throughout the park too.
This state park is a traditional park in every sense – picnicking, hiking, biking, fishing, camping and fun. Yes - even camping, so if you wanted to extend that family day out even more, you can stay over night and just keep going!
