Ready for a fascinating day out filled with exhibits that will teach kids all about science, the natural world, and yes, there are even live animals to meet too!

Boonshoft Museum of Discovery has a mission to enrich the lives of children and adults alike, offering up interactive learning experiences to promote a broader understanding of the world, 

All of the exhibits within the museum are designed to mix engaging educational experiences with entertaining hands-on fun across a number of topics. Perfect to discover their inner scientist, zoologist or archaeologist!

Let's start with fun for those little ones in the family! Boonshoft Museum of Discovery offers a safe, hands-on play area for those under 4 years, where they can use tactile learning tools in a calm environment, and yes, parents you will enjoy it too!

The natural world comes to life in the Bieser Discovery Center, where kids can study reptiles, mammals and insects, as well as examine fossils, minerals and more!

Open daily from 1pm - 2pm, the Tidal Pool allows kids to peer into a little piece of the ocean! Tucked into the rocky display are a number of sea creatures including live sea stars, sea cucumbers and sea anemones. Keep those eyes peeled kids!

At Explorers Crossing kids can shop as they discover shapes, colors and numbers. They can prepare a pizza, become a vet, and even learn the importance of recycling.

And yes, we mentioned live animals so we can't forget those! Discovery Zoo is home to adorable, funny and feathered friends that are a must-see on every trip for the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. 

With SO much more to see and do including space exploration, family events and camps, those inquisitive kids will be in their element in Ohio!

Children: $11.50 (Ages 3-17)

Discount: Seniors - $12.50, and free for DSHN Members

The Boonshoft Museum is fully accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs and strollers are available at Guest Services on a first come, first serve basis.

They have great events like science festivals and Super Science Saturdays so keep an eye out and make sure they go in your diary!

Vending machines with an assortment of snacks and drinks. Visitors are welcome to pack lunches, but should plan to eat in the Food Chain (2nd floor).
