The wheels on the bikes go round and round....especially at Bicycle Safety Town!
This fun Illinois attraction is located in Peoria Park and is 4,000 sq ft of curves, one-way streets and traffic signals so kids can safely learn how to ride a bike on the road!
It's a great place for those little ones, especially those active kids! They can cycle until their heart's content, get that much needed exercise, but at the same time learn invaluable lessons about how to take care when out near pedestrians and cars.
Bicycle Safety Town really is like a little town! There are nearly 80 traffic signs for them to learn, ramps to navigate, overpasses, and even a 4 lane highway!
It's BYO bike, and you need to have all your extra such as helmets, but once there you just enjoy the great outdoors, and spend time with the family!
The town isn't just for those who want to cycle either - so they really have thought of everything!
There is a seating area for parents, and picnic tables so you can really make a day of it. There is a family restroom, and for those little ones aged 2-5 not yet able to ride the bikes, they have their own toddler playground!
So it really is a family affair in Peoria, so why not grab those picnic baskets, load those bikes into the car and head on down to a town with a difference!
