If you want an up-close and personal visit to the zoo, then Peoria Zoo is your best bet. Located between Chicago and St. Louis, this zoo has just about everything you’d like to see with great views of the animals. I got a great photo of me right up next to the glass while the lion was directly on the other side. The birds are beautiful and seem just as interested in people-watching! There’s ample parking and not much of a wait to get in. Howl-Zoo-Ween, one of their annual Halloween events is very busy but is a very popular event. There are a few after-hours events during the year to raise money while also enjoying drinks in their Zambezi River Lodge. Highly recommended!

Good little zoo. Very pleased with price and what it offered. Good family fun. If going to Peoria, it’s worth the visit.

First time visitors. My wife and I thought it was a very nice stroll through a clean well ran facility. Not big but enjoyable. It was nice to see that the animals seemed to be taken care of well.

the zoo was nice enough but after driving with a 3 yr old for an hour very disappointed half of the zoo was not open to us, due to work being done, but was still charged the full price to get in. will not go back again.
