The Aviation Museum of Kentucky is all about the sharing the state's fascinating aviation history with all who visit with a huge 25,000 sq feet of indoor exhibit area ready to be explored, as well as a number of actual aircraft in the outdoor exhibit space.
Not only that, the Aviation Museum of Kentucky features a number of traveling exhibits as well as displays throughout the year too, so there will always be something fun to go back to!
What's great about the museum is that is allows kids to actually get up close with some incredibly historic, important and just amazing aircraft - in all forms. Make sure you take your time to really make your way around the displays as they are filled with artifacts and memorabilia that take you right through the state's aviation history.
Whilst you won't actually fly, it might just inspire you!
Kids will love hearing the stories of the real people who shaped history, realising they can achieve anything.
Whilst Lexington is known for its horses, a visit to the Aviation Museum of Kentucky shouldn't be missed!
The museum is located at Blue Grass Airport
Daytime parking is free and available for automobiles parking during Museum visits. Parking for motor homes and buses may be limited. There will be no overnight without prior permission from the Museum. Vehicles found parked will be subject to ticketing and towing charges at the sole expense of the owner/operator.

They invite you to bring your class on a field trip to our museum and explore the artifacts, documents, art, and historic architecture up close.
