About Alligator Alley

Are you ready for a SNAP-happy time in Mobile!? Alligator Alley is just what you need, if you love animals and getting up close and personal to some really incredible creatures.

What we really love about Alligator Alley is that once it opened in 2004, all of the alligators are actually rescued from places and situations that they suffered in.

So you know when you visit, all of the animals are really being looked after, and are much better off than they were before! Alligator Alley offers these incredible creatures a natural environment, which thye love!

In the south, alligators are considered "nuisance" animals, so it's really nice to be in an environment which acknowledges these creatures for what they are, and embraces that!

Alligator Alley will be one adventure you will never forget!

You'll start your guided adventure with a beautiful walk to an elevated viewing platform, where you can see over 450 alligators of all ages - from super young hatchlings to large, mature adults. They might be relaxing or sunbathing, courting and even nesting!

After a breath taking view and plenty of photo opportunities, families can keep the adventure going with a nature walk on the elevated boardwalk, which gives a great view of the alligators in their natural habitat!

It's not just alligators you might spy at Alligator Alley - keep an eye out for other amazing creatures such as turtles, ospreys, owls and bull frogs only a couple feet away!

Don't miss a chance at the end to take a photo with a baby alligator too!

A snap-tastic time in Mobile! Say hi to the gators for us!

See ya later, alligator!
