Did you know that OWA, Alabama's great NEW theme park, is pronounced like oh-wah? The name is actually inspired from the Muscogee Creek language to mean “big water.” Pretty cool, huh?
So what is there to do at this amazing new theme park? Well, let's check it out - all 21 rides in fact!
Of course, it wouldn't be a theme park without those thrilling rides, and OWA isn't any different. Love thrills? Get ready, because your bravery is about to be tested!
There are rides like Air Racer where you experience all the twists, turns and dives of a real air show, and the Crazy Mouse where the track will spend you spinning into excitement!
You'll be on the edge of your seat with the Rollin' Thunder coaster, or there are some thrilling spills in there too with the Wave Rider! SPLASH!
But OWA is a family park, so rightly so they have a host of fun kiddie and family rides that you can enjoy all across your family day out. Channel your inner aviator with the Flying Aces in your classic biplane, or hop along that classic favorite of colorful fun frogs!
Take a spin in classic hot rods, or enjoy sudden drops on the Gully Washer - it makes for one bumpy ride!
Families can enjoy time together on the carousel, flutter on the wings of a butterfly, or career down a whitewater gauntlet without getting wet!
And yes, OWA of course have those fun tea cups! The little ones even have their own kiddie coaster to enjoy kiddie sized thrills too.

There are a host of places to eat and fill those rumbling tummies, you certainly won't be going hungry any time soon! From September 2017, more restaurants will be opened too, including Wahlburgers and Hershey's Ice Cream!
