For a WILD family day out in Alabama, check out the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo!

It's here you can explore acres of park land that is home to over 500 species of exotic animals. Yes, that includes, lions, tigers and bears, oh my!

It's not just these beautiful creatures that you can meet on your fun zoo day out. Nope! You might just come face to face with cheeky primates, stunning leopards, wise wolves and so much more!

Make sure you make a trip to the Reptile House too, where those slinky and scaly creatures are waiting for say hi. Kids can walk through the garden with turtles, lizards and yes, even gators!

Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo also have a petting zoo where kids can enjoy a real hands-on experience with domestic animals, as well as an aviary teeming with colorful birds.

Check out the seasonal animal encounters too, as well as animal shows and keeper talks. These are just the cherry on the top of an already educational experience. Any questions that the kids have, these are great places to have them answered!

You can enjoy Sloth Encounters, as well as unique Tamandua, lemur and kangaroo encounters too!

They offer seasonal concessions, as well as a shaded picnic area.

Teachers corner

Students are $5 per person, including chaperones. Teachers and bus drivers are FREE! Make sure you book in advance. To obtain this discounted rate, qualifying tax-empt documents are needed.

Is Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo fully accessible?

Service Dogs are permitted by appointment only. You need to call 24 hours in advance. For the safety of the animals and all guests, access to the Big Cat areas is not allowed with Service Dogs.
