About Brodsworth Hall and Gardens

Brodsworth Hall and Gardens have been restored to their former glory and is the perfect day out for the family. Explore the house that tells the stories of generations of people who lived here and head out into the garden for a walk and admire the beautiful surroundings.

The home itself is Victorian and was built by Charles Thellusson over 120 years ago. The rooms are grants and many of the original furnishings can still be seen too!

There are heirlooms from the families including portraits, paintings, books and furnitures too, as well as carpets and curtains! Make sure to visit the kitchen too as it has an impressive cooking range.

The gardens are a must visit! They have been restored to their full Victorian splendour and home to colourful and seasonal plants, flowers and displays all year round. You can walk through the statue walks, grottos and wild rose dell and makes the perfect place to get out in nature, especially when the weather is nice!  Visit the restored summerhouse and admire the flower garden.

In the garden you can wander over and under the bridges and even peek at the outdoor loo too! There are plenty of family activities during the school holidays including live music and banks and much more, so make sure to check out the website before you visit so you know what's happening when and where.

From Easter adventures to history workshops, classic car shows and brass bands, there's lots going on both inside and outside the house for a great family day out.
