About this activity

Newcastle Climbing Centre is the premier indoor climbing venue for Tyneside and the North East. Situated in the former church of St Marks the building provides a spectacular indoor climbing environment with over 1200 square metres of indoor climbing including roped walls, bouldering, auto belays and a specialist gear shop!

Climbing is a unique and dynamic sport and delivers exciting rewards both physically and mentally. If you are keen to try climbing, they offer taster sessions, introductory courses, youth activities, qualifications and instruction for all abilities! Whether you are a novice or expert, there's something for everyone, and they aim to offer customers the very best indoor climbing experience.
If you are aged between 7 and 14 years you may join their Junior Rock Club under the supervision of friendly, qualified staff. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
They also offer Taster sessions for Juniors under 16 years of age. If you are between 14 and 17 years old you may climb unsupervised at the Centre with parental consent and after passing an assessment.
