Life Science Centre is the perfect place for a fun and educational family day out, and there's something for everyone!
The planetarium show of Pink Floyd’s iconic album ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ is 50 this year and you can experience the music and stunning visuals in Life’s planetarium! Or, visit one of their relaxed Sunday sessions, where they offer dedicated quiet time for anyone to access and enjoy the science centre, including autistic people and those with other sensory needs.
As if this wasn't special enough, explore the science centre in a baby-and-toddler-friendly environment at their monthly pre-school days, with workshops and activities especially for little ones.
The award winning science centre is full of exciting exhibitions, activities and events for all ages. Their programme changes regularly so there's always a new reason to visit!
Join their inspiring Science Explainers doing demonstrations in the Science Theatre. They also offer the ride of your life on their motion simulator ride (minimum height requirement: 1.2m or 4ft) and offer a great space for little ones to explore their creativity and have fun in their Young Explorers' Zone.

By Public Transport: The Centre for Life is only a two minute walk from Newcastle Central Station metro station and the mainline rail station and local bus services.
By Car: Life is situated approx 10 mins drive from the A1 (M) via the Scotswood Road and Station Road. Up to 500 parking spaces are available at Times Square multi-storey car park, a few minutes walk from Life.
