Who wants to go swimming? We do too! But today, we are going to somewhere to swim with a difference. Kids - we're off to Radium Hot Springs! Radium Hot Springs is located in Kootenay National Park, and is one of the top natural springs in the entire British Columbia! Pretty amazing isn't it!
Radium Hot Springs is a great family attraction too. There are plenty of spaces to relax, as well as day spa services!
Kids can have a splash around in the swimming pool, or you can soak in the hot pool - and it's all natural!
The water temperatures at the hot springs are always between 37C and 40C - or 98F and 104F - so not only can you enjoy the water when the sun is behind the clouds, but you can also enjoy it's healing properties too.
Did you know that Radium Hot Springs can give you an educational day out too? Yep! In fact, here are just SOME of the fun facts you can learn during your visit. Did you know that even before the 1940s, the First Nations people considered these magical springs a spiritual place, and used the water as a place of healing.
It was then in 1841 that the first recorded visit occurred, and since then, the area has developed to include bathhouses, expansions, and even a visit from an Olympic torch relay!
So you see, not only is Radium Hot Springs an amazing place to visit with the family, and enjoy some fun swimming time, but it's also an education for the kids!
