Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is not just a beautiful place to visit, it's also rich in history too! This popular Nevada ranch is located within the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, beneath the colorful cliffs of the magnificent Wilson Range. 

Historically, it was used as a working ranch and luxury retreat by a host of very famous names, including Howard Hughes!

Today, during your visit, you can explore part of that history and you visit some of the oldest buildings in Nevada! These include an 1860s blacksmith, the Sandstone Cabin that was once home to the founding family, and of course the ranch house itself. 

This 520 acre oasis is also a great place to enjoy some amazing outdoor adventures. Grab those hiking boots and his the many hiking trails throughout the park. If you want to just relax, spend some time at the tree shaded picnic tables, offering grills. The perfect way to make day trips to the park a family favorite!

Over summer, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park also host the Super Summer Theatre which offer a variety of outdoor shows that the entire family can enjoy.

So grab that sense of adventure, and that thirst for history, because Spring Mountain Ranch State Park has your name written all over it!

Spring Mountain Ranch State Park FAQ’s

Take a picnic lunch! There are shaded picnic spots with tables and grills.

Visit when the park are hosting living history programs. The past will come back to life for a brief moment and allow visitors to see life at the ranch how it might have been!

Information about program scheduling may be obtained from either park staff or kiosks. Upon request, special presentations can be arranged for groups.

Take water!

Visitors will find information about the ranch and surrounding areas and can take a self-guided tour of the ranch house interior. Park volunteers are available to answer questions.
