What is there to do?

Just under 4 miles from the Scottsbluff Monument, the Riverside Discovery Center is a place where kids and families can explore animals of the world, AND learn about them in this popular Nebraska attraction!

Your visit to Western Nebraska is not complete without a stop at the "best little zoo in the west". At this 25 acre zoological park you will enjoy up close encounters with a family of bears, chimpanzees, zebra, lions, tigers and a walk through aviary filled with colorful birds too!

Also during your visit at Riverside Discovery Center, enjoy the botanical experience, and just relax into nature for a bit, enjoying everything it has to offer!

For those hands on experiences for the kids, make sure you check out the seasonally open petting zoo with those cute domestic animals. 

If animals weren't enough for you on this expedition into the wild side of the world, children will enjoy the playground and the colorful interactive graphics. The center also has a seasonal splash pad too, great for cooling off!

Did you know that you can also feeding and watching a variety of waterfowl on the zoos lake? Pretty cool!

With fun birthday parties too, Riverside Discovery Center is an animal-tastic family day out in Nebraska, where kids can explore the WILD side and make some new friends!
