Reedy Creek Nature Preserve is one of Charlotte’s little treasures. Once you hike the trails you will find it hard to believe that it is close to an urban area. The Robinson Rock House trail will take you back in time to some of our Mecklenburg settlers homestead. Ponder there for a moment on how life was back in the day before all of our electronic devices. Besides the beautiful trails, the park offers picnic shelters, athletic fields, playgrounds, disc golf and for your furry friends a large dog park.Go enjoy one of Charlotte’s treasures, but please leave only footprints 🙂

Our playgroup had the most amazing time at Reedy Creek Nature Center. June arranged to show the group a turtle and a snake. She took her time going to each child & allowing them an opportunity to pet it & talk about it. We then made a very cool snake craft. She took us on a hike and talked about nature. She had strategically placed snake skins, turtle shells and other things in the woods for the kids to find so that they could talk about them. June really made our visit a memorable one. Thanks June!
