Welcome to Orange Community Players, a cornerstone of performing arts in Southeast Texas. Originally founded as “Town Theatre,” our beloved community theatre has grown and evolved, creating a rich tapestry of history and culture that has captivated audiences for generations. Nestled in the heart of Orange, Texas, our venue has become a nurturing ground for local talent and a beacon for theatre enthusiasts.
Our journey began in local schools, with early productions staged at Helen Carr Junior High School and Anderson Elementary School. Over time, “Town Theatre” transformed into the Orange Community Players, a change that marked the start of an exciting new chapter. Our dedicated team has continually worked to enhance the theatre experience, with significant renovations including new seating and expanded facilities, ensuring every visit is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
What makes the Orange Community Players truly special is our community. From the actors who bring stories to life, to the audiences whose laughter and applause fill the room, every performance is a shared experience that strengthens our bonds. We are proud to offer a platform where both seasoned performers and budding talents can shine, encouraging creativity and passion for the arts.
One of our most cherished initiatives is the summer program for children and youth aged 6 to 18. This five-week workshop is a wonderful opportunity for young people to learn the ins and outs of theatre production. For just $25, participants gain invaluable skills, increased self-confidence, and memories that will last a lifetime. The program culminates in a graduation performance, a highlight that celebrates the hard work and dedication of our young participants.
