What is there to do?

It's all about the wonderful world of art at the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature! Here, kids can experience beautiful original artwork via exhibits, tours, and collections, that all relate to the finest children’s literature.

The National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature is there to inspire and empower children to read and be creative - and we LOVE that! Reading is so important for kids, and with children's picture books being a part of so many childhoods, it will likely not only inspire kids via their creativity, but also bring back a lot of memories for the adults too!

The National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature collaborates with award-winning artists to produce exhibitions of their artwork that are distinctive, ensure they are appealing to families of all ages, and are of the highest quality.

There are permanent exhibits, as well as touring ones, so if you want to keep going back, chances are there is something new to experience! The exhibits might cover a specific artists, or they might cover a section of literature within a certain time frame.
