The Museum of Science and History features an amazing collection of historic, educational and cultural attractions, operating some of the finest attractions and exhibits in the USA, including the Pink Palace Mansion, Giant Screen Theater, AutoZone Dome Planetarium, Lichterman Nature Center and the historic Mallory-Neely and Magevney Houses!

The Pink Palace Mansion is an amazing place to visit in Memphis! It happens to be one of the largest facilities of its kind in the Southeast. It is filled with natural history and cultural exhibits, as well as dinosaurs and a planetarium! Pretty awesome!

The Museum itself is filled with exhibits. Kids can walk through a replica of the very first self-service grocery store in the entire country (how amazing is that - you forget that they had to start somewhere!) The Clarence Saunders Piggly Wiggly will give you an insight into what life was like centuries ago in the USA!

There are cultural and natural history exhibits that cover the Mid-South, with dioramas and audio visuals. Go back in time in the city and trace the development of Memphis from when the Spanish explorers arrived, through the Civil War and even epidemics!

We mentioned dinosaurs....and we weren't kidding! Kids can see how the dinosaurs and fossils changed the planet! 

The Pink Palace Museum also has a number of touring exhibits which means that there is often always something new for you to see! 

Don't forget about the Planetarium! This space filled experience lets kids see what really goes on up in that big sky of ours...and beyond! There is also a 3D Giant Theater where you can see some very cool films, such as Walking With Dinosaurs! See the world in a whole other light!
