Who is ready to get bowled over! If you’re at Mohegan Bowl in Massachusetts, then that’s exactly what will happen as the family takes to one of their 20 state of the art bowling lanes!
Mohegan Bowl is a great way to spend the day with the family! It keeps the kids entertained and active, and really helps with their coordination too!
The lanes at Mohegan Bowl are candlepin bowling lanes. How is that different from ten-pin bowling? Well, the first difference is that each player gets to use THREE bowls in each go, instead of two! The balls are much smaller than the balls you might be used to, and they don’t have holes for those fingers.
The pins are also a different shape, and they’re not cleared away during each turn. There are some great new terms to learn for the game too, like Picket Fence and Hi-Low Jack. So not only are you enjoy a family fun day out, but kids are learning a new game too – if you haven’t played it before!
Mehegan Bowl has family bowling every weekend during the day, and if you want a little adventure in your game, then check out the Cosmic Bowling every Friday and Saturday night. The music goes up, the lights go out, and you can bowl in what seems like a disco!
If you really take to the sport, there are league bowling opportunities where you can really hone those skills, and work towards something great!
So grab those bowling shoes, and get out on those lanes and try and get that candlepin strike!
