History is facsinating to learn, and it's even more fascinating when you can SEE first hand what you are learning about - and come face to face with incredibly iconic pieces of history, particularly US history.

Which is why a visit to the Libery Bell Centre in Philadelphia is a must for all families when visiting the city.  

It's here you can not only learn all about the Liberty Bell and its role within the countries foundations, but you can SEE it with your very eyes!

Offering free admission to all families so everyone can enjoy this experience, during your visit you can enjoy a self-guided tour around the exhibits all about the now famous symbol of liberty. If you have any questions, be sure to talk to their knowledgeable park rangers who will be happy to tell you more!

Exhibits line the left side of the hallway within the Liberty Bell Center itself. You can learn all about a range of topics from the founding of the State House bell (which now known as the Liberty Bell) through to its use by abolitionists and even civil rights advocates.

Make sure you look out for the famous crack too!

Today, the Liberty Bell remains significant for its message of liberty. In fact, abolitionists, women's suffrage activists, civil rights leaders and many others have used this bell as their symbol in the fight for equality.

You're in Philly! Try a cheesesteak or a hoagie. You can enjoy a bite at the cafe located inside the nearby Independence Visitor Center

Make sure you check out all the nearby historic sites - there are a few in close proximity and it's worth really exploring them all! Don't forget your camera!

The Liberty Bell Center is wheelchair accessible. There are NO restrooms (accessible or otherwise) in the Liberty Bell Center, but restrooms are available in the nearby Independence Visitor Center

Entrance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors must pass through security screening first.
