Historic Cold Spring Village is a living history museum set in what is known as the 'age of homespun' circa 1780 to 1840. There are 26 restored buildings set about the 30 acres, each containing costumed characters who will chat to the kids about their daily life and craft including backet weaving, woodwork and blacksmithing.
There are some opportunities for interactivity during the week and at weekends proper hands on activities are provided, as well as free horse and wagon rides.
Look out for the Cape May Point Jail, which is now the base for the family activities and also houses the dress up room!
HCSV is located on Route 9 just three miles north of Cape May City and four miles south of Rio Grande.
