Y'all ready for a genuine old west cowboy adventure! Idaho is a beautiful state with amazing countryside, so what better place for kids to get on those horses and herd cattle than on 4000 acres at the Granite Creek Guest Ranch?
This family-run cattle ranch is in the stunning mountain country, which also gives kids a great way to get that fresh air, get out, run around and play like they used to!
Ever saddled your own horse? At the Granite Creek Guest Ranch you get to! You can also spend your days riding the Western style mountain trails, or even herding cattle! Do you think you have it in you? Let's go round 'em up - you're a cowboy and cowgirl now!
If you want to extend your stay, you're in the right place because it's a sleeping ranch. Sit back and enjoy the home-cooked meals, and settle in for the night in your own rustic, original log and board cabins (don't worry, there is electricity and plumbing!)
Sit around the nightly campfires as a family, and see how many stars you can see in the sky. (The sky is often so clear here you might be there a while!) The next day you can all head out and enjoy dishing and canoeing in their own private reservoir, and they are also close to the Teton Mountain Range - another spectacular place for kids to visit!
If you don't want to stay overnight, you are more than welcome to enjoy the day trail rides where those cowboys over 7 can ride their own, and those under 7 may hand lead their own pony.
Go get ‘em cowboys!
