My son and our friends go to Colonial Woods Family Campgrounds every year. We love the pool, mini golf, ping pong, crafts, trails for riding bikes, fishing in the ponds, shuffleboard, basketball, tennis, volleyball, archery, playground, movie night, dances for kids, root beer float night, make your own ice cream sundae night etc.The Owners are nice and we LOVE that they support the Shriner’s Hospital for Children ! They really put an effort into making sure the whole family has a great experience ! The campground is kept clean and is in a lovely setting close to Lake Nockamixon where we can go sailing, kayaking, etc.The only “complaint” we have is that we wish the pool stayed open a bit later at night and also into September.

Easy to get lost , all maps of colonal woods are out dated by 5 to 7 days , C42 campsight was’not the Best , there was better also How do you get a campsight near Lake Warren ? I would say this time to colonal woods was 90 of 100 scale saying example 1 of 100 , Not likely to visit again 100 of 100 Very likely and willing to Visit again over and over , ty prices are great and you get Free Maps , But when can you get that cool welcome place mat in all 30 or more langues ?

We stayed here 3 years in July. First year no issues with electric. The last two we did not have sufficient voltage to run our appliances. The 92 volts inside our camper will not power anything correctly, but could lead to damage. The last time I was there I talked to others in the park and they experienced voltage problems. Camp with caution and monitor your voltage. Signed a friendly electrician.
